2017-2018 Operational Report of LAIF and CIF

This report covers the operational activities of the Latin America Investment Facility (LAIF) and the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) in 2017-2018. As two of the EU’s regional blending facilities, the LAIF and CIF use EU development funding to leverage additional investment from European and Regional Development finance institutions, country governments and the private sector to finance investment projects in the Latin American and Caribbean regions with the potential to deliver substantial results in terms of sustainable and inclusive development and climate action.
